I took my husband for an overnight stay at Marr Hall to celebrate our anniversary. We thought the location was lovely; the character property looks amazing and is currently being refurbished with minimal disruption, the staff were friendly and relaxed, the spa was great and the golf course looked good as well. We had a spacious room on the top floor with a large en-suite bathroom. The dinner was delicious and there was a good selection in the buffet style breakfast. We would definitely stay again. It would be a great place to enjoy a golf or spa break with friends.

There was nothing really that we didn’t like. It looks like there are plans to upgrade the property and add some lodges which may cause a little disruption for some guests.

Breakfast was excellent and the staff are simply amazing. The only issue I had was that I had booked a 430 sq ft suite through Booking.com and the hotel said it was a 322 sq ft suite. I had to pay extra to get the 430 sq ft suite. I think this is unfair as the issue seems to be between the hotel and Booking.com.

Everything was great except that the coffee machines in the breakfast area sometimes ran out of milk or coffee outside the breakfast hours and no one seemed to be responsible for checking and refilling.

The location is excellent for accessing the beaches and the centre. The house was very clean and modern with great facilities. The views from the top floor lounge are amazing. Great size kitchen that has all the facilities required, and spacious as there were six adults and two dogs.

Using the post code was a bit difficult, but got there in the end. Also very nice clean, will use again.

I think the landlord can inform people to use the apartment name and not the post code. i got lost few minutes before using the post code.

I payed for a luxury room and was kept awake most of the night by the drunken rows! Did email them and suggest that the luxury rooms should possibly be at the rear of the hotel? Shame really as spoilt my Birthday treat to myself

1. [Uncomfortable bed] apparently, the single bed in the living room was sunken, caused back ache and my friend had to sleep on her sides. 2. [Late check-out notice] Check-out details including key drop request arrived in my mailbox at 10:08am,less than one hour prior to the listed check-out time, 11am. We had vacated the place by then, leaving the key on the dining table. Later, I discovered multiple disturbing texts and missed calls as though I were still in the house. The disturbing incident ruined a good half of that precious day in London. The caller blaned me for inconveniencing their cleaning lady with the keys. If there are no extra key to this place, I suggest check-out keydrop info be emailed well in advance! 3. [Policy violation] I learned the next day that the caller had rushed to report me to Booking.com for violation of their policy. Though the caller later withdrew the complaint instead thanking us for tidy, orderly stay and not forgetting to ask for a positive review, I am still seething, disturbed by the horrible memory. Booking.com also sent me an apology. 4. [Natural waste] Last but not least, prior to our stay, I received the caller's email where she succinctly asked us to ONLY flush natural waste into the toilet bowl, not even toilet paper! Only later did we learn that such request is not common for upscale London houses.
