Great place to stay for Abingdon. Have been several times. Rooms are slightly dated but everything works well and the food is great. Pub food, good beer and a cooked breakfast - what more do you want?

The room and the public areas of the hotel were clean but very dated, I regularly stay in Premier Inn Hotels for work and thought that the Plaza would be a step above. However, I felt that the Chester Plaza is well overdue a refurbishment and facelift. Bathrooms could be a walk in shower rather than stepping into the bath with loose towel rails etc. The add on usb charging module only on one side of the bed and tacked to the skirting board show that an update is long overdue.

The pictures do not represent the apartment. I would not say this is luxury. Every wall was covered in scuffs and scrapes. The carpets where dirty and again, stained and marked. There's was a damp smell. The whole apartment needs a proper clean and redecorating. Extractor fan for bathroom shook the whole place. The limescale on the shower head sprayed it everywhere. There was one small towl left out and another one still damp on a chair. Unsure if bedding was fresh. No other spare toilets rolls, towels, bedding etc anywhere. Random selection of cutlery and only 1 mug.
