The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.
2
When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

Location was excellent - it really was only about 15-18 minutes easy walk down the river bank right into the centre. The kitchen was excellent, with all the equipment, crockery and other items anyone would need - there was even foil in one of the drawers (I'd taken my own). As other people have said, the lovely touches were having coffee, tea and a few milk sachets provided - again, I'd taken milk, but it was lovely to be able to make a cup of tea (good Yorkshire teabags too!). We stayed in the top double bed and our daughter used the lovely fold out double bed in the sitting room - excellent comfort

Nothing to improve - all excellent

Mark is a charming and attentive host, the room was quite pretty, and the premises are close to the centre of town and to Brewery Square. There is a small tetris-style carpark, but with our Fiat 500 rental we always found a slot.

We knew we had to find our own breakfast, so this did not come as a surprise. What did surprise us was how small the room was: not anywhere near the 25 sqm as advertised on booking.com. The bathroom was very small as well: tiny washbasin low down and no place to put one's spongebag.

It was quaint, well furnished and spotlessly clean. We were actually staying elsewhere with a large family but due to over occupancy only used the property for sleeping. It suited our purpose..lovely comfortable bed.

We could not work out the t.v. I’m positive one of our kind hosts would have come and sorted it out but on balance, we were not really ever there to watch it so we didn’t bother.

The duvets and mattresses had bloody period stains. The beds were very dirty and gave my whole family bed bug bites. Both my legs ended up getting inflamed with red spots. The room smelled like vomit.
