The Wifi signal was strong and the connection secured. I have VPN but it is good to see a secure connection. The room was very clean and the sheets excellent. The shower pressure was good and the water was hot. There was a fan in the room, although I didn't need to use it despite the high temperatures outside. The hotel room was very quiet and there was no light pollution. I slept very well. The Manager at reception was very pleasant. There is a decent amount of on-sight private parking for guests at the back of the hotel. Location is great.

The decor was a just a little dated, but it doesn't claim to be a 5 star hotel, so I wouldn't really say it is a problem as the hotel felt very well managed and clean.

The Garden Room is a little gem - excellent facilities, lovely and private setting, and the location is perfect for everything in Bowness. Yes it is at the top of a hill - but Bowness is a hilly location! Louise, the owner, was very friendly and helpful, and definitely made our stay stress free.

Breakfast was OK, Location was good for us and it was a relative quite area with no street noise. Staff were friendly and helpful. Small size hotel with good access just off a main street.

The apple fruit mix was brown at breakfast and the eggs were cooked well in advance hence tough. The room was small especially for international travelers, and the bed was difficult to get into being tucked against the window, however once in bed it was one of the better ones we have had during our European, UK travels. Bathroom was small but adequate.

My personal view inside the bedsit, the photos, and the actual place were disappointing. The outer building was completely different from the photo they advertising. It was disappointing to see the outer building. The owner should raise the scaffolding situation when communicating. I was sold by the misleading outer building photos. There is no privacy when the window curtains are drawn, and people are able to look into the room, which is in direct line of sight of where the bed is located. During hot weather, the window cannot be left open as it is too close to the pavement and for safety reasons during night time.

Ditty shower- curly hair in there I had to clean myself. Remote full of dirt. Blinds half broken. No soap. Dirty bathroom. No sanitary bags. Dusty.

Firstly, the bathroom in my room was extraordinarily tiny, to the point of being uncomfortable. The bathroom door was broken and could not be closed properly, which compromised my privacy and comfort. Additionally, the bathroom walls were dirty and showed signs of poor maintenance. The general cleanliness of the room was appalling. There were noticeable stains and dirt on the walls, and the windows were smeared with what appeared to be insects and other unidentifiable marks. This lack of hygiene is unacceptable and made my stay extremely uncomfortable. Moreover, the hot water was scalding, making it difficult to take a comfortable shower. To add to my discomfort, the only window in the room was broken and could not stay open on its own. We had to use a hanger to keep the window open for ventilation, which is highly inconvenient and unsafe.
