Lovely apartment in a fantastic location. Felt very safe there as a solo traveller. Will definitely book again here. Really appreciated the grab rails in the bathroom, such a help with my mobility. And a super comfy bed and sofa. Lots of storage and thanks for the hypoallergenic bedding and fan.

The open plan kitchen/living area was nice and had everything needed for a short stay in an apartment. The bed was made quite nicely and the en-suite was clean enough. There were 2 smart TVs and both connected to the WiFi.

The WiFi did not work well throughout the apartment. The living room sofas and surfaces around the apartment weren’t as clean as I would have liked. Also there wasn’t anywhere to store clothing or put the cushions used to decorate the bed.

Location was excellent , two couples stayed here and two couples stayed in house along the road, we had lots of activities and Robert was helpful. Cooked breakfasts were very good.

The location of the property and the lodge layout were great. View was wonderful and was fun watching the guinea fowl and goats.

The cleanliness was very poor. We were covered in white dog hairs from a previous holiday makers dog as the property hadn't been cleaned properly. The draws in the bedroom and one of the beds had big, long human hairs in them. We cleaned out the draws but understandably, no one wanted to sleep in the bed with hair. Coffee sachets left expired in 2021 and the salt expired 2020. Bathroom shower curtain was mouldy, as was one of the lamps in the bedroom and there was a sanitary towel wrapper under one of the beds. We had to disinfect the fridge and wash all of the crockery before putting food away or eating. Bedroom door latch stiff,my daughter got stuck in the bedroom and bathroom door stiff too. Such a shame as it could have been a perfect holiday if someone had been bothered to clean the place before we arrived. Tarnished what was supposed to be a special occasion.

1. They need to renew the beds. They are not up to scratch 2. Soundproof doors or at least eliminate the slamming. In that context, soundproof the walls. 3. Staff at leisure has an incredibly relaxed accent. Ask her to articulate better so guest understand her. ….

The fact that it was a building site. Hammering and drilling from 0710 in the morning (rooms 215 & 216, Wed 15). Complete indifference from management and reception staff. Moved room (while being suggested it was me being sensitive & I was lying about the 0710 start), meaning I had to repack luggage & change plans. Still work noise during day. Workmen constantly shouting & playing radio. Banging. Drilling. Swearing. Workmen pushing in front of an old lady to get a coffee at breakfast (why the hell were they even there?). Travelodge standard (at best) breakfast, “scrambled egg” in a tray in a solid inch of water. I used to test rubber as a part of my job, that garbage would probably pass a strength test. It’s all about the hotel (which does look good now), and nothing about the guests. I’m sure there’ll be a smart reply, I have some photos but wish I’d have taken more when I realised how bad it was.
