We stayed this weekend as my husband was running the Boston marathon. The location was perfect! The start line was at the end of the walk and the finish line was a 15 minutes walk away. There were quite a few shops and coffee stops around to entertain myself during the race which was perfect too! The apartment was so lovely and homely, beautifully furnished and so comfortable to relax in. We had communicated with the owners prior to our stay and again on the day and they were absolutely lovely! Nothing was too much. We would stay again without doubt. Thank you!

The staff were friendly and welcoming. It is a lovely old listed building with great character. The rooms were clean and more spacious than expected. Decoration was good and in character with the building yet had all the modern facilities and an excellent ensuite bathroom. Our group had 3 of the 4 rooms at the property and all were of an equal standard. The breakfast was very good with a wide choice and we also ate in the restaurant one night and that was also excellent.

The evening meals and desserts were amazing. The staff are really friendly and it is right opposite the grand pier. I can't recommend this hotel enough for cleanliness, location and ease of speaking to the staff. Very inviting and I will be returning.

The only thing I would say is there are a few little jobs that could be with being done within the rooms but it was 100% clean.

Over £30 for breakfast if not pre paid for two of us didn't spoil the experience but was really ok. The booking states Car Parking and THERE IS NO CAR PARKING OR CONCESSIONS FOR IT- naughty really should have been clearer. Lucky we have endless amount of money (not).

Having come straight from the airport from Australia with 2 large suitcases and bags, we were directed to probably the smallest room in the property, small enough that on entering the room the door banged against the metal wardrobe! On our last day, we saw other rooms being cleaned that were so much bigger. Other comments included: - Room was constantly cold, radiator very noisy and didn’t heat up - Bathroom sink partially blocked and didn’t drain - Badly placed tea/coffee station meaning you had to bend down to make drinks; no space - Glasses filthy in the bar - Overall the basics just weren’t there, eg. not enough milk, teabags, food not ready on b/fast table, etc We booked a couple of months out and at nearly £450 for 3 nights, it was certainly not value for money.
