Tip: If you are struggling to get hot water from the bathroom tap adjoining the bedroom, simply turn the shower on for a few seconds and you will get hot water from the tap.       Parking was Easy , There were 8 of us in total in 4 rooms , Our room was excellent Suite with a balcony , there was a lovely little cake and fruit board waiting for us as it was our Anniversary and Our grown up children had asked if the Hotel could do anything , it was a lovely surprise and set the tone for the weekend , as the hotel and staff did not disappoint. The Quality of the rooms and the Overall Hotel was excellent i could not find any fault with them at all. We ate at the Hotel and the Food was excellent

      I literally fell in love with this place. The decoration is vintage and I felt home. it made the stay more exciting. Beds are comfortable and you have a nice shower. The place is safe and the staff is good.would definitely stay here again

      Room was clean and had all necessary amenities you expect of a Hotel (not a Guesthouse). Is better tha std guest-house. Breakfast was good, freshly cooked eggs, all you need.

      I had been asked thru booking message if I wanted to enjoy dinner. I told them yes for the two nights of my stay. Well the restaurant was closed (no message in return they can not offer dinner). I asled thru e.mail and message booking feature to Hotel to issue and prepare invoice with detailed info on how to address. NO REPLY. So now after my departure on 5th of June I know the staff or supposed staff is not reading messages or e-mails. The messages you receive are automatically generated but no STAFF behind it. This is a lack of service and support. Not even a message taken note of your message will need some days to handle your issue. Not even that. So nice place to stay, in a very nice green garden, cozy old style building. If you do not need any assistance just sleep and enjoy wifi and breakfast (late 7.30), it si your place.

      Great location on the high street. Rooms were bright and airy. Staff were generally helpful especially David who looked after us. Breakfast was cooked to a high standard.

      Our allotted room had been given to someone else. We therefore had to move rooms after the first night - a little annoying. Staff were however apologetic. Some rooms are on the third floor and accessed through tight corridors with lots of steps; this may prove a bit of a challenge for the more mature customer - (I suggest you ask for a room on the first floor). Despite contacting the hotel twice our request for information about free parking went unanswered. David helpfully showed us where to park when we arrived but only after we had to to pay for an hours parking in the NCP. He also explained that Booking.com should have sent us parking details - somewhere there is a breakdown in communication and I hope between the hotel and Booking.com this can be resolved for future customers. Nonetheless, this could have been sorted earlier if they had responded. Rooms are looking a little tired with small patches of flaking paint, skirting boards loose and so on. Nothing too dramatic but it demonstrates a need for a little more maintenance; however in fairness to the Angel and Blue Pig, I don't think they advertise themselves as a hotel and hence the B&B condition of the rooms is probably acceptable.

      The staff was excellent. The car parking.. The service was excellent..

      The cleaning of the bathroom was poor. The underneath of the toilet seat had urine staines, the shower mat was rolled up and left at the side of the toilet with the toilet brush, ( very unhygienic) . I informed a member of staff but she wasn't bothered, So for a executive suite it was poor.
