- locations, location, location - in 20-25 min by foot you can easily get to all furthest corners of the city / city attractions - stayed in one of the pods rooms - it was like having my own little room, good for first timers in the hostel, loads more privacy than bunk beds can offer - great chilling areas - luggage storage - extremely pleasant staff - loads of restaurants, cafes and shops around - breakfast (continental) great option to start a day without having to look for cafe or food anywhere else - showers/toilet pods - amazing idea - in general clean, tidy and well looked after kitchen, toilets, bathrooms and rooms - castle view just a steps away from the hostel

- loads of stairs - may get loud at night with people shutting the door like they stay in a barn their whole lifetime and had a first contact with door at this particular stay in the hostel (this is my pet peeve if you can’t tell) and yes, I am talking to you, inconsiderate people… - could do with those magical door stoppers - booking.com says check out is till 11am, worth amending this as a check out is in fact till 10am

Really friendly and lovely staff. Rooms two minutes from ferry, across the lane from the cafeteria & pub, and next door to the souvenir shop. Easy walk to all there is to see in the village on the special isle of Iona. Basic clean rooms.

It was very affordable and offered free cancellation up until the day of arrival, and could either pay on arrival, or pay beforehand. The staff were all very friendly. The room was very clean. Very good air conditioning.

My friend slept on the camp bed while I slept on the double bed. She stated the camp bed was quite uncomfortable.

Unimpressed by the lack of consumables and towels - only two bath towels, one hand towel, a miserable half a roll of toilet paper, 2 single tea bags and two single coffee pods supplied for a 4 day stay! We were out of toilet paper on the second day and messaged to request more but nothing was replaced, so we had to buy toilet roll and tea and coffee for the apartment. These things would normally be included. The lack of towels was also pretty mean. The apartment was tiny, much smaller than the photos suggested, a wide angle pic.

There is no smoke alarm in the room, the small sofa isn’t worth having as you can’t sit for more than 5 minutes in it without being uncomfortable. The worst part was the damaged wall above the kitchen unit that has been boarded over with card board and duct tape that had rats/mice behind there scratching at it for the entire time the 2 nights I have stayed. This should not be aloud and can’t be acceptable? I have no doubt that the rats/mice will break through the cardboard. I have had zero sleep the entire time of my stay.
