The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.
2
When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

This place is a complete hidden gem. Stunning views and setting. If I had stayed longer, there were lots of walking and cycling opportunities around. Not that I cycle, but for information purposes, I'm adding that. There are only 2 pods and a cabin in the enclosed field, well spaced out and safe for dogs off the lead. Firepit at the pod with a supply of wood provided to start off a campfire. The shower was great and instant hot water. The owner was very helpful too. A perfect night in all.

In the description of facilities in the booking.com page it fails to mention that there is a 2 ring electric hob and also a microwave so I only took cold food for my stay as it is remote and didn't want to have to go back out or to bbq.

I liked how comfortable, clean and friendly Whitworth Locke is. There was everything you need when having short city break. location was perfect , right in the middle of the city with a short walking distance to Oxford Rd railway station and many great pubs and venues. The staff in tge reception and bar were very helpful. I would definitely be staying there again.

Only a little thing: the water temp in the shower could be little bit warmer

Goswell House is in a prime location to everything all shops restaurants and of course Windsor Castle. The staff are lovely. The property is very period looking loved the internal staircase

On occasion you could hear the front door slamming late at night and could just barely hear the nightclub the secondary glazing really helps with the street and club noise though

The staff are friendly and breakfast is good. Location is also great within the city.
Negative section of review
The rooms facing the street are too noisy and don't have double glazed windows, so it's impossible to sleep without ear plugs, which the hotel does not provide.

Lovely room in attached annexe. Very comfortable and well appointed

There is no parking on site (as explained on the web site) but a public car park is a pleasant short walk away over the iron bridge.

The location was perfect for the event we were taking part in

We felt that the property was not as cosy as it appeared in the pictures . The fire was no available and this was a feature we had been looking forward to using . It had a scribbled hand written note on a ripped piece of paper of cardboard simply stating , ‘do not use.’ The layout of the furniture was different to the picture which made the room feel rather stark . A rug was needed but the sofa which would have made it more cosy like in the picture . Overall the property was clean and well kept . It just needs a little bit more attention to the soft furnishings to make it cosy .

Good cleanliness, good location, good value.

The only small minor issue was that the toilet seat was loose, apart from that nothing.
