Excellent breakfasts - hearty Full English offering piping hot food regularly replenished from the kitchen, and a wide range on offer on the Continental option. Our room - one of the Garden Rooms, was very good indeed - clean, comfortable and spacious with all desired amenities. Dinners in the pub/restaurant were well priced and enjoyable - special plaudits for the double hamburger!

The kettle in the room was a bit odd, so we didn't use it - coffee in the restaurant was great anyway. We did mention to reception that a tap in the washbasin needed attention - no problem to us, but in need of preventive maintenance.

Lovely guest house - large comfortable room - excellent breakfast - friendly, helpful hosts- well placed for the town centre, but quiet at night. Really good value for money.

Lovely location a short walk from Castle Combe. Rowena and Pat were very very helpful and thoughtful. The cottage has loads of space and character.

If you have a shiny car make sure you borrow the car cover, the peacocks attack their reflections Wifi is a little slow but a router reboot soon sorted that.

The views were superb, the rooms were all very spacious and all spotless. The welcome afternoon tea was a lovely touch.

The roads to the lodge, very narrow and twisty and although we like walking we didn't feel that we could walk on such narrow roads with no footpaths

Location is great. Food in the restaurant was good and breakfast was good.

We were allocated a room in the Haven next door. The whole building is very tired looking. We had booked a superior room but again, it was a very tired looking room. Facilities were ok but decor was poor, damp patches in the ceiling. Bathroom felt like you’d fall through the floor. Poor state of finish. The restaurant was ok. Quality of food was good but service was slow, several things on menu unavailable. We were in a back room and left unattended for long periods. Went to the bar afterwards. We were practically only people in there all evening. Dead atmosphere. Disappointing stop on our Scotland tour, considering the room charge, compared to all our other stops. Poor value for money really.
