The (single) room was tiny, maybe this is true to London prices, and you can tell how old the building is. I could barely lay one medium sized suitcase flat. Room is mostly clean though I did feel a little weird about the bedsheets.

Damp smell, felt nauseous. Mould on walls, dirty walls, disgusting carpet. Very awful place, if I hadn’t arrived so late I would have stayed elsewhere. I tried looking for alternative hotels until 3am with no luck as it was the weekend.

While the accommodation itself was comfortable, there were significant issues that negatively impacted my stay. Firstly, I was extremely disappointed to discover that the hotel does not offer a luggage storage service. This resulted in an additional £14 expense for external storage, which is unacceptable for a hotel of this caliber. Secondly, despite promptly informing the reception about an accidental plate breakage, I was charged an outrageous £15. This charge is unreasonable and does not reflect the level of customer service I expected, especially given the fact that reception not so much as mentioned a charge when I went to inform them. I attempted to resolve these issues with the management before writing this review, but unfortunately, my correspondence received no response whatsoever, not even an acknowledgment. These issues overshadowed what could have been an enjoyable stay. I have experienced much better overall service, friendliness and individual communication in more humble places - not to mention the service and attention I usually receive and expect from upmarket establishments (especially if they define themselves as "luxury"). It all feels very calculated, saving money on good service and getting guests to pay extra wherever the chance arises. I strongly urge the management to address these shortcomings to improve the experience for future guests.
