In general a beautiful large room however because there was no slip mat in the bath/shower I fell and the glass door swung open and I landed on the floor with bruises all over my head and body. I reported this and it was dealt with professionally...I hope they now have slip mats in the rooms. One other issue was that foolishly I left some items in the bedside drawer...inc prescription drugs. I called and was told I had to go in to collect them as they can't post them! After many calls I was told they would send them, now waiting 3 months!

The welcome extended to us upon arrival and how arriving with a bike didn't become a huge issue, as it does in some properties. The breakfast lady was also very informative with her advice on accessing the canal for my hike and flexible with my breakfast request.

Location was fabulous. Ideal base for exploring. Bed was lovely and comfortable and room wasn’t too hot as I sometimes find. Drying room was an added bonus to get our kit dry.

It was a little bit noisy in the room we were in. Kept hearing a door bang but that could have been other guests. However it started around 6am in the morning onwards.

Restaurant was ok, music in the evening was ok. Parking was also ok. Didn’t realise from photos that a third of the hotel had been demolished and under construction.

Photos of the hotel under demolition and construction and areas at front and rear were messy and needed attention. Parts of Eastbourne seemed a little run down.

The shower/toilet facilities are more like a plastic caravan unit. There was sometimes a smell of drains coming from the bathroom.
