The unique character of the place and the friendly staff. The food was excellent.

One had to wait some time to order and water was not immediately available. One small suggestion to the kitchen staff is to use separate cutting boards so that the fruit Sallad in the morning do not taste of onion.

1. The smell as you entered the property, musty, old smell. 2. Mould everywhere in the bathroom. 3. Inside of the windows were filthy. 4. Smoke alarms out of date by 3 years. 5. No smoke alarm in lounge, which is a legal requirement in a rented property. 6. Out of date chicken in freezer 7. Leftover opened food in cupboards. 8. Pictures on website show biscuits, tea, coffee etc for guests, there was nothing. 9. No batteries in tv remote( a small issue, but nevertheless something we had to purchase) It’s obvious the property is poorly maintained & rarely cleaned, how the host can say it’s professionally cleaned is beyond me, the property hasn’t seen a duster, bleach or a mop in months. As this was a weekend of a major event in Edinburgh, accommodation was scarce, but we refused to stay here & had to pay out £700 to sleep elsewhere for 2 nights, but I honestly do not know how this property owner can charge what he charges & gets away with allowing people to stay in such a dirty smelly property. I do not understand how he gets good reviews on his page????

Ignorant host didn't answer a single message on this app and only acted when I tracked down different number and threatened to leave. Free parking is a scam. WiFi not working. Incredibly noisy, both on streets and from other constantly partying guests. Paper thin floors. Overflowing ashtrays and piles of rubbish in shared spaces. Terrible blinds that stream in daylight from dawn. Four coffee pods for a week stay and no caffeteire.
