We had dinner at the Chester previously and decided to stay as we spend a lot of time in Aberdeen . It’s a lovely hotel with amazing art work across the hotel . The Room was very nice . We were in a suite which was comfortable and the bed was also. I also like that there is connectivity and you do not need to leave the hotel to get wet . Plus parking is good. Location is great, close to things and property is set back and quiet as windows are double glazed with nice trees. Windows should all open especially when the days are warm ( not many lol ). But the bathroom window should open for ventilation, the one in the living space opened . The free mini bar was quite exceptional including two generously size gins!!

I think the hotel has some staffing issues as it can take a while to get service in the various bars and restaurants areas in the property. We also noticed this when we dined there previously it was the person at the bar, taking orders bring food etc . Not ideal . Often only one staff member is present doing everything . The reception staff were all nice with one very knowledgeable about the art work .

What a beautiful location, was amazing listening / watching the Jet planes go over when using the hot tub throughout the day's and evenings. They were very loud but not something you would get to experience very often within your lifetime so was a nice experience. The caravan was very clean, warm and comfortable and was well equipped with everything we could have possibly needed. The owners were very informative and friendly. We also thought the value for money was superb and the fact that we picked the keys up from a lock box actually at the caravan just made everything smooth on check in.

The only thing that spoilt our stay a little was the fact that workmen started building straight across from us the day we arrived and we were only informed of this part way through our journey to arrival. What was supposed to be a chilled, quiet relaxing week didn't turn in to that. The owner said that he had only just been informed too which was a bit disappointing. We could not fault anything else apart from that.

Handy for Portsmouth ferry terminal. Clean and modern Quiet, comfortable, good shower, air con (not needed) and nice to have a decent pub on site (good breakfast)

Rude staff. Owner answered door whilst on phone and left us in hallway and disapeared. . Insistent on cash as soon as we walked through the door even though I had credit card details on booking. Com. Argued with me when I said I needed my card reader to send to a new payee via my bank online. Had to go out to petrol station to get cash. Thank goodness I had debit card with me or I am not sure what would have happened so far from home!! Toiletries extra, breakfast extra so we didn’t bother. Charged us £10 for being half hour early A place to lay our heads but service, attitude and quality of room very questionnabke bright room but needs a paint. Won’t be back .
