Abrek Öce and Batikah Cicim were simply superstars. We thouroughly enjoyed our 5 day stay and would most certainly return when travelling to Istanbul!”

  The location, being at the foot of the Abbey stairs and at the end of one of the oldest streets in Whitby, was about as perfect as you could get. We were in the heart of where a lot of lovely old buildings are so you were surrounded by history, lovely shops, tearooms and pubs. The kipper smokehouse was also just around the corner, which is well worth a visit. The pub itself is very smart, warm and welcoming with fantastic views of the harbour, sea and town. The breakfast they served and the staff were excellent. Our room had a separate entrance and lacked for nothing in facilities. From our entrance we literally only had to walk a few steps to get to a little pier (with plenty of seating) and a little sheltered beach. It was a relaxing stay and we’ll go there again as everything was just great 👍

  Super comfortable and unique place that is ran by the delightful Derek/Suzanne. Ask yourself this. Do you like to come home after a long day sight seeing to a beautiful cupcake by the front door for you? Do you like your breakfast served with a big old slice of charm? Do you like a really comfy, spacious room to sleep in? If you answered yes to those questions then the No.98 is for you. Staying here was such a lovely experience and we can’t wait to go back again soon

  I stayed only two night in my trip to Wales and England. The Northwood is located in a quiet small town, near the sea. I don't know how it is with public transportation, I travelled with a rented car and it was very easy to access the location, there is free parking on the street in front of the building. The room was like brand new, it was very clean and quiet. The breakfast was excellent. The price for the value was very good.
