What a GEM! Over the years we have stayed in many cottages & Airbnbs. This, by far, is the best. Richard, the owner is a super host. His attention to detail is evident from the moment you enter the room. From the layout and the generally relaxing "zen vibe" down to the little details like... glass bottles of water and milk in the fridge (Replaced daily) The breakfast choice is great ( tried my first Stotty. Very nice) The name (Birdsong cottages) is true to form. I sat on the balcony each morning to a cacophony of birdsong. Really sets you up for the day. If you are a coffee lover (Like myself) there is a excellent choice of Nespresso pods on offer, again replenished daily. Where to go, what to do? The room houses a map with circled ideas along with numerous books of places to visit. Or you can just ask Richard, who has a wealth of local knowledge. To sum up. This was our first visit to Birdsong Cottages. It won't be the last :)

Nothing not clean scruffy walk in and the guy snoring is back out had to wake him up like the desperate for money they put us in room the lock broke and my stuff was stuck in he had to break in , honestly booking .com should be ashamed to advertise these .

Nothing it one of the worse properties I have stayed I would rather stay on street , no hot water had poo toilet seat not been cleaned , my friend came up and they charge me 25 extra for both night so we paid over 100 I would not be paid to stay there ,

We love this hotel! The best in Plymouth for value for money. We could stay in a B&B but bringing our dog, and having such a great bar along with great music in a fun environment is amazing.

After checking in and getting comfortable in the room, suddenly the door opened, the gentlemen explained that reception had allocated him with the same room, he was very polite and vacated the room and went back to reception. I too went to reception to see what had gone wrong, simple mistake I was told!! Back to the room I went, but the key card did not work, so back again, reception had cleared all keys, because of the mistake in the allocation. So then for lunch, pint of Cider please, staff member replies we only have bottles available! due to cooler not working.
