The hotel itself is lovely and very well presented. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the rooms and restaurants were above expectation. The hotel has great potential and I would be happy to stay again.

The only thing that let the hotel down was the fact we were refused robes for the spa. This is something I have never come across before after staying in many spa hotels. We were told that our room wasn't superior and therefore didn't qualify for a robe. I know this is an extremely minor thing in the grand scheme of things but it definitely left a bad taste for us. My husband and I spent £240 on a room for one night which we wouldn't consider 'cheap' and it was our one night away from the children so we were looking forward to a true spa experience. Had it not been for this everything would have been perfect but unfortunately for the sake of washing two extra robes we were left to feel unwelcome.

1. I had difficulty retrieving the keys, which are in a box outside but not covered, and as there was a lot of rain, it was very, very, very difficult to open the box and retrieve the keys. I had called the owner and he was no help at all. I had to ask a passenger to help me, and she struggled for 20 minutes to get the keys back. 2. The apartment is very damp, I had difficulty breathing. Clearly it hasn't been aired for at least a few weeks. 3. I couldn't stay in the living room for 5 minutes. 4. The bathroom shower doesn't work. 5. The hairdryer doesn't work. 6. I had to leave a day before my scheduled departure and had booked my last night at another hotel. 7.
