Our experience near Marble Arch in London exceeded expectations. Not only was the apartment comfortable with accurate photos as on the website, but the hosts also went the extra mile by allowing us to store our luggage before check-in. Their responsiveness and hospitality made the stay even more enjoyable. Combined with the extremely convenient location near the city center and nearby metro station & comfortable furniture, it was truly a top-notch experience.

While our stay was comfortable overall, there were a few issues that detracted from the experience. One of the bathroom doors didn't lock, another bathroom's lights were out and one bedroom door didn't close properly, affecting privacy. One bedroom was notably small, impacting comfort. Additionally, the main door seemed to be old and should be replaced. Despite these drawbacks, the stay was manageable due to the responsive hosts and convenient location.

The house was not clean, the bannister on the stairs was sticky. I had to clean the table as there were sticky rings from drinks left on the table. The extractor fan was covered in dust and the kitchen press doors were stained by spills.The rooms had not been hoovered as there were small bits of plastic and paper on the floor. The beds were small so we had to sleep in separate beds the second night. I am 5' 3" and my feet were sticking out at the end. There was a sheet stuck up over each bedroom window to act as a curtain but the light came fully through so we were awake once the sun started to rise at 4.30am. I did complain and we could have received most of our money back for the second night if we didn't stay but we would have lost the booking fee and would have to find somewhere else to stay so we decided to persevere and stay on. They did offer us 30% reduction on our next stay but it goes without saying, we won't be going back. I had expected much better quality for nearly £150 per night. Extremely disappointed. Just to note, I don't generally leave reviews but felt I had to in this case to prevent someone else getting charged outlandish prices for an extremely poor experience.

We arrived and the signposting for the car park was hard to follow. We were in the old section of hotel and the car park was miles away. However, we found it - and had a nice lunch ( although served the wrong thing but that was sorted) but then we couldn't get access to our room! - not eventually until about 3pm. We had to get changed in 5 mins flat to get to reception for our taxi. The Taxi company was booked on the recommendation of your staff Our taxi was then delayed for 30 mins (" the driver went off duty"). Fortunately another taxi was able to pick us up. We were catching a train from Newport to Cardiff for the Bruce Springstein concert and missed our train. Luckily they run frequently and we caught a train to arrive in time for the concert. On leaving the car park barrier didn't work - not just us but other guests too.
