  The niu Loom has become our number one 'go to' hotel when we visit Manchester. While it is not in the centre of town if you have a car it is very easy to get in and out of town which combined with good secure, reasonably priced parking is a real bonus. The facilities at the hotel are good and cleanliness is exceptional. All in all a very good, comfortable, convenient place to stay.

  Nicely situated hotel in the town of South Shields. It appeared slightly lacking TLC as the room had a few surfaces which were marked and looked unkempt. Main reception area and bar was OK but lacked modernity. Breakfast in the restaurant was very good and the staff were friendly and helpful - good choice of foods.

  The lack of TLC - needs refreshing coat of paint in the public areas. The hotel's situation is ideal but overall the internals need to be upgraded. Staff did not want to organise a taxi for us as we were travelling to Sunderland, but handed over a number for us to contact - perhaps they should introduce this as better customer service.

  We booked this accommodation last minute - day of - there ended up being a double booking but our host offered us to accommodate us in a house closer to the city. This was really nice, beautiful house, very spacious and bright and central. We had a very comfortable stay.

  I have no complaints about my stay and appreciated the host continuing to honour the booking - considering it was so last minute, it would have been fair enough for him to cancel - but he didn't so much appreciated! However, just to note that my review relates not to this property listed.

  Small room for the money. Family of 4 would have been a real squeeze. Wife and daughter couldn’t make it at last minute and had pre-paid for 4 cooked breakfast, but only needed 2. My elderly father was staying in the room next to me on booking under my name, but lodge wouldn’t let him have one of the spare breakfasts i’d already paid for - so he had to pay for another one. The family party I was with had also spent around £300 in the Parsons Collar on food and drink on the day of arrival. So thanks for being so petty about passing a prepaid breakfast over to someone on the same booking. Greedy policy and no common sense shown.
