Staff were very friendly and helpful. The little touches in the room made our staff feel really special like the nice toiletries, biscuits, tea and coffee. Having a fridge in the room for great with fresh milk for tea and coffee. The bed was comfortable, shower and bathroom lovely. All newly refurbished. The hotel is very dog friendly, the only place they are not allowed is the restaurant (bar is fine).

Service at dinner and breakfast was slow. The layout for the buffet breakfast could be improved as things ran out quickly with only a few guests being there. Really there needs to be someone refreshing and tidying the self service area. The pillows were quite soft which made the bed less comfortable than it could have been. The rooms are not very big owing to the layout and age of the building. There is very little storage space so the floor space is taken up by your bags/cases. The fire doors are noisy and there are lots of them so this means that the hotel is quite noisy with people coming and going. Lots of steps and narrow corridors. The bathroom needed more hooks for towels and a shelf to put things on as there is not much room to hang anything up. We had to have our wash bag on the floor. This was ok for one night but meant the room became very untidy quickly in what is already a small space. The room is also quite dark.

A fine functional space to stay overnight for work. Nice hot breakfast with meat and vegetarian options, and a private bathroom in the room. Plenty of easy access plugs for charging your devices, and Wifi.

The two panels that separate the bed area from the sitting area makes the space feel smaller and obstructs access to the bed. Removing the second panel would considerably enhance space and access.
