The hotel was better than some comments found on the web. No problems with clenliness, hot water, staff etc. etc. May be I was jut luckey but no compliaints at all. What I liked most was the location close to beautiful Hyde Park. There were loads of reasonable restaurants and shops near the Queensway tube station about 8 minutes away. The nearest tube is Lancaster Gate but there are not many shops nearby. There was a 24 hour nice coffee service in the lobby which was a great relief after a long walk in the park. There was a decent espresso coffee machin in the room as well.

Distance from Paddington station was bit of a drag but bearable one. On foot it was about 10 minutes but if you had a large suitcase, it is a distance you wouldn't want to walk, and yet you won't be popular with a cabby as it would be too close for him/her. The hotel was converted from old apartments, so there were unusual steps everywhere so you wouldn't enjoy the struggle with large suitcases.

Location is close to the railway station but we did not hear any railway noise. Also close to the shopping and dining facilities. Breakfast was lovely as was the staff.

The size of the room was as expected for a Luxury Triple Room with a Jacuzzi Bath. Cooked breakfast was well prepared and served in a timely manner.

Self-check-in was not appropriate at a B & B. Never experienced this anywhere before. Gave the impression that it was a "boarding house". The departing guests with luggage walk past guests at breakfast to get to the exit door. Power points in the bedroom room are not appropriately placed. The bathroom was dark, partially due to blown bulbs. The toilet cistern is not attached to the wall. The jacuzzi did not have any grab bars to assist with entry and exit - very dangerous to use. Toilet roll holder? The heated towel rail in the bathroom was inoperable and loose from the wall. No chair(s) in the bedroom room. Furnishings in a poor state- water stains all over the dresser etc. The wardrobe door is unable to be opened due to the carpet being too high. The beds are most uncomfortable. The breakfast room serving bench was untidy and not regularly cleaned over breakfast. The room was booked as a "Luxury Triple Room with Jacuzzi Bath". It was certainly not a "luxury" room. Only one staff member who appeared to be trying hard to do everything. Not priced appropriately.
