The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.
2
When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.
3
After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

This is a lovely first class experience b&b. It has a great view of Ben Nevis and is located in a quiet area a close to Fort William. Both Karen and Scott are excellent hosts and have gone to a lot of trouble to make this a wonderful stay and their guests feel comfortable. The attention to detail, the extra added touches make this one of the nicest places we stayed in during our vacation in Scotland: Homemade jam, luxury shampoos and soaps, home made shortbread cookies and fudge - such a treat, Lovely dining room with linen tablecloths and serviettes. I can't say enough about how great a stay we had.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, I feel we lucked in booking at the Mayfield.

NO curfew! I picked the key up early as I was going to my son's graduation at the Robert Gordon University, so I knew I might be late... The house is extremely quiet, although it has 28 rooms. My room came with a shared toilet, which was no problem at all. My room was basic, but clean and comfortable. The bed was great! Tea and coffee making facilities, including kettle, were provided, as were tea and coffee. I had only booked for one night, I would not have minded staying longer.

The outside, paved front area is full of cigarette butts and spilled drinks. It could certainly do with a sweep and a wash. I get the impression that the owners aren't there and aren't aware.

Such a lovely property including the grounds! The barn is so cosy and well decorated, comfortable beds and couch, huge bathroom with a great shower and fully equipped kitchen. Outside has a little hill with benches on top, fab for a beer to watch the sunset. Bonus points for the absolutely adorable wild rabbits that live on the grounds too <3 Rick has also been a perfect host with good communication

Everything was perfect: the room, the staff, the location! I really recommend this lovely hotel if you’re visiting Torquay.

Situation. It had parking and was on a good bus route for the city.

Shabby room. The bed base had spills on it and very worn (how much is a valence which would cover this?!!). The bath had black mould in the tiles (bleach would’ve sorted it). The shower was impossible to work out logically tho by utter fluke we got it to work the following morning). The window wouldn’t shut properly (draughty and noisy - particularly seagulls starting squawking at 3am re summer).

Parking on site and convenient location to Emirates Old Trafford.

TV signal not great so couldn’t really watch any channels. No plug sockets next to the bed but not a major problem.

The staff were lovely - and the food was glorious.

It was entirely my fault for not reading the description properly - I was in a ‘pod’ at the back of the hotel - it would not have been my choice to stay there had I realised that is what I was booking.
