We loved the quirky decor, the location was brilliant. The kitchen was filled with everything you need. The house was nice and clean. We loved the stream at the front of the house. We really enjoyed sitting near the stream drinking tea. We hired the hot tub. We are glad we did as it was well worth pay a little extra.

No complaints, value for money, plenty of showers and toilets (I read it's a problem in some hostels in Edinburgh). Kept clean. Didn't bother to cook, but the kitchen is there if needed. Very good location, the castle on the doorstep almost. Would happily come back.

Flat was clean and had all the facilities we needed. There was parking and we were near enough to where we wanted to go.

The only snag was that the flat was on the top floor which gave us plenty of exercise getting our bags up.

AC didn't work the entire stay (four nights); staff indicated they called a technician, but it was never repaired. There were not enough coffee pods provided for the length of stay. Would have been nice to have a low shelf or luggage stand to mitigate having to access luggage from the floor.

If I had to have one dislike it would be uncomfortable pillows. Too hard. Had to put a request in for breakfast in the way of a form. We were at a funeral so couldn’t. Hence we paid for a cooked breakfast but couldn’t have it. So had to just have egg on toast.
