Rothay Manor is a beautifully presented hotel which is perfectly located in Ambleside. It was peaceful and tranquil. Both myself and my partner were made to feel completely at home at Rothay Manor. The hotel will forever be a special place for us as we got engaged on our trip. We will most certainly be returning!

Bedrooms and bedding were nice and clean. The bedrooms were of a good size with room for clothing and dressing table with hairdryer. It was very easy to get hold of the granada rep, who was very helpful and did not rush you. Bathrooms and shower rooms very clean with plenty of loo roll and washing facilities

I was quite surprised the size of the communial area we were a party of 9 people 6 adults 3 children and 2 dogs. There was a table with 4 chairs and the sofas could not sit everyone comfortably. The apartment was very warm, a little too warm with the radiators onn24/7 I am disabled. We were on the third floor, and the lift was very small. You can't fit a wheelchair in there. I can stand a little so ok until we leave when the lift breaks down. I needed to walk down about 4 flights of stairs that had no handrail. Finally, 3pm is a very late check-in I explained to the rep I was disabled with a badge, and we were given free parking and allocated bay 1, which we thought was the disabled bay. No, it was just the end by a wall. I would say that this hotel does not support disabled people

The location was ideal. Just round corner from train station. Plenty of coffee and tea in the room bed was comfy. Price was reasonable. Only thing I woukd suggest is show guests how to lock their doors as we struggled to figure it for minutes. But no real issues and enjoyed our stay

The location address was not clear enough. It took us a while to find the property. We were given the wrong key code by Booking.com. VERY hot, so hard to sleep. Very noisy when windows left open. Fan would be a good idea.
