Host is very friendly and welcoming. Communication prior to arrival was first rate. Room was very comfortable, even though it's a little small and the ensuite is nice but very small. The room had lots of nice touches; like fresh milk in our own little fridge, full bathroom amenities, so not a problem if you forgot toothpaste, razor etc. Very clean and an excellent freshly made breakfast.

Room and ensuite was a little small, but for one night it was fine.

It had a traditional feel which we liked. The room and facilities were comfortable and gave us what we needed without being over the top. Waiting staff were excellent, breakfast selection was good and of good quality. Location was excellent with parking nearby.

Basic run of the mill evening meal choices.

Love the hotel, it’s very convenient for visits to this area set in a beautiful idyllic and peaceful valley / the quieter more secretive side to Llangollen in effect. Nice starters menu if you don’t want a full meal too

Very modern and clean. Great location as I was visiting family in Cromwell hospital. Staff were helpful polite and also held my baggage for me. Room was available for checkin early too.

In general there w anything negative. However if I had been a larger person or more than one person staying in my double then it would have felt very tight. Fine for one person. But very little space to move or relax in the room except to sit on the bed.

The location is very good just opposite St Giles cathedral on the High Street and everything in the Old Town is easily accessible. Princes Street is only 15 minutes walk away.

The apartment wasn’t what I expected after seeing the photos on the website, and you need to be very careful what you are booking as all of the appartments are different. We had the top floor apartment that has 63 steps to reach it. Very poor maintenance in many areas with holes in the wall, leaking shower stall, curtains hanging off the rail, lights in the kitchen not working and the main bathroom smelling mouldy. Rubbish left in the entrance hallway and dirty linen as well. Rubbish left at the entrance not cleared away.

Staff was welcoming and helped with getting me booked in. The room 204 was nice and big, had a tea and coffee maker. i did not use it. Plenty of towels and soap/shampoo.

The radiator in the bathroom could do with being bled (airpockets) it did make some noise during the night. The bedside light was leant in the corner against the wall, it was broken, do not touch it as its hard to put back. you could hear if someone used the lift, not so much the door but the humming movement of it going up and down. to be fair once i was asleep, the noises were not a bother, maybe the alochol helped.
