Of course! Here's an updated review for Novotel Hotel: --- We had a lovely stay at the Novotel Hotel. The pool and gym facilities were fantastic, providing a great way to relax and stay active during our visit. The staff were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had a pleasant experience. However, despite booking an executive suite, the room felt quite small, and the layout with the shower and toilet being separate was a bit uncomfortable. Despite this, our stay was very enjoyable, and we would highly recommend the Novotel Hotel for its excellent amenities and welcoming staff.

We loved the grounds and surrounding walks.. Mature trees. The lady at reception that greeted us was absolutely lovely, warm and helpful. The dining room with the fireplace was very nice room.

The food I had was dreadful. First nights dinner (Mushroom Stroganoff) tasted awful, possibly the worst food course I have ever ordered. The young lady who was in charge of the dining room was very sullen and dour, the complete opposite to our welcome at reception. Surely breakfast on the first morning would feed me up…No the porridge was like wallpaper paste, tasteless and obviously made with water not milk, looked like slop! Once again uneatable! Next came my order of the cooked veggie sausage, beans, tomato and scrambled eggs. No tomato 🙈 sausage cold 🙈 scrambled eggs a tan colour and tasted terrible…..thank god for the baked beans. Toast floppy, must have been warmed with a hairdryer, limp not crisp! Needless to say we never had dinner in hotel on our second night, we eat elsewhere. Second days breakfast was better as we stuck to pre packaged Weetabix and boiled eggs… a success! I do not take any pleasure in giving this negative feedback but maybe some good may come from it.

Stunning views of Liverpool waterfront and across to Liverpool Cathedral and St John’s Beacon. Clean, comfortable with everything we needed.

No fob key entry to the building and car park. We had to pick the key up from a shop in Dale St (next street along), so might be an issue for anyone with mobility difficulties. The entrance to the building was untidy, but this could be due to several companies leasing from the same building.

Over priced. The restaurant downstairs is nicely done, so why not make the rooms the same. Bathroom floor was cracked and uneven, the bath panel was broken, silicone around the bath and shower was all coming off. Lifted the toilet seat to be greeted by pebble dashed poo marks..how lovely! The blinds in the room don't work so can only lower so far then you'll have to use the menus to rest against the glass for the privacy that your lacking. Radiator never turned on. The key fob for the room..Well you'd need massive pockets to carry that round, about 12 inch long massive wooden plaque with a code on and your key, why not something easy and efficient. We was expecting nice room for the price we paid but unfortunately was presented with the opposite. We went for breakfast on the last morning, but seen as all the staff was just stood chatting at the bar whilst we twiddled our thumbs waiting for them to take our order, we decided after 20 mins that enough was enough and decided to leave. Would've been our place to stay when visiting family, but rather spend the same money and go a bit further field, not worth the money and I'd definitely recommend to avoid.
