The key-handling system through lockers was convenient and straightforward. I was surprised how smooth this has been even without human interaction. The room was spacious and nicely furnished, I appreciated the fully equipped kitchen and the bathroom was clean. Having a car park right in front of the house has been very convenient for us. The host has been nice and professional.

We have been requested a security deposit through bank transfer and photos of an ID, but because this has been requested outside of the Booking platform I perceived it as a red flag. Although everything turned out fine, this made me feel a bit uncomfortable. About the accommodation, something I missed in our room were electrical outlets. There were only two, both in the same corner of the room and far from my bed. Also, the bathroom is shared and there is only one toilet. Although we managed our time well, I can imagine it could get pretty busy when other guests have bad synchronicity, but maybe there are more bathrooms upstairs, I don't know, at least this one was close to our room (room 1).

This property is about 10 minutes walk from the heart of Edinburgh, but very close to some superb restaurants of all sorts. The room was very large and comfortable, and easy to chill out in. A very comfortable place to stay.

Room was unclean (lots of hair everywhere), shower didn’t work, bed was two singles pushed together and was extremely uncomfortable. Lift out of order and we was travelling with a 1 year old so had to carry her up and down the stairs in pram. Hotel couldn’t accommodate us in a ground floor room, even though it was empty. Swimming pool was out of use, offered an alternative pool but was a 15 min drive away. Staff non existent, when we arrived we waited 15 mins for someone to come to the desk. Similar timeframe when we went to the bar in evening, and again when we checked out. Drink was awful! I think the coke had been in the basement for 30 years. All in all, not a great stay. Wouldn’t recommend or stay again
