On site pub & restaurant close early, wifi didn’t work in our caravan despite purchasing a package for up to 6 devices. The mattresses are really hard and poor quality. The curtain pole in the bedroom was hanging off and there was a dead fly stuck to the net curtains. The main issue however is that the previous guest of our lodge had had a nose bleed and there was blood all over the carpets in the caravan. Staff informed us on arrival, after a 4 hour drive, that they’d tried their best to clean it up but it still needed a proper clean (one meant for bodily fluids) however the alternative was to cancel our trip. No good telling us at 6pm on a bank holiday Friday when we’re 4 hours from home! I found blood on the bed sheets and mascara on the pillow so they obviously hadn’t changed the bedding. Managed to find a maintenance person the next day who said he’d arrange for someone to come and change the bedding. I said we were out all day as we had tickets to zip world, so agreed they could go in in our absence. This never happened. When I questioned it they said they’d been looking around the park for me all day and had called me. This was a lie, I had no missed calls and had already agreed with the maintenance person that they could go in whilst we were out.
