Positive section of review
The view onto the bridges from the lounge and kitchen was amazing and the apartment was very large. It was very cold when I arrived very late at night, and I immediately turned on the heating in the the bedroom, which was very efficient and warmed the room very quickly. Communication with the owner was very good and efficient with very easy to followinstructions, and the self check in was very convenient considering I arrived past midnight. There's even private parking just in front of the house. Pity I didn't stay longer to enjoy the apartment.

From the car park, there is a flight of stairs which I wasn't expecting and it was hard work with the heavy suitcase all by myself. You can hear the train in the distance, but it wasn't loud enough to disturb me and it stopped running during the night.

- Location was good for reaching Hay Festival and not close enough that the price got hiked massively. - Owner was sick so her mother met me - made allowances in that respect regarding my room not being ready at the specified check in time (not that it mattered as I then went to the Hay Festival until 9:00PM.

- Uncomfortable mattress, dusty in places cobwebs below desk, black mould in alcove wardrobe. - Generally felt very dated and worn down, dining room was apparently being renovated while I stayed there. - I would have been fine with breakfast in a bag (as was told prior) but it didn't arrive at 8 like I was told, and I had to leave by 8:20 for my first event - when it still had not arrived. - Small things like the wifi card in the reception being annotated / drawn on with black pen / having post-it notes stuck on - instead of printing a new one, it would only cost 1 half sheet of A4 paper.

Super clean, smelt lovely. Easy to arrive (via Forage) and access via key lock. Beds were super comfy. Walk to town easy, lovely food and drinks at Forage too. Will be coming to stay again.

All the facilities were good, great to have soap, washing up liquid, good cooking equipment, towels etc. Everything you need in a comfortable cottage.

Kind staff at reception. Easy walking distance to the terminal for an early AM flight.

The room was rather dirty (stained mattress, blood stain on the chaise/sofa, crumbs all over the floor, carpet that looked like it had not been vacuumed recently). Generally the furnishings are very worn out and outdated. I am surprised that this hotel is a Radisson Blu/passes the chain's standards: it felt much worse than a Premier Inn. Likewise, there was a very long queue (25+ mins) to check in.
