When we arrived, we had been upgraded to a hot tub room due to it being our mini moon which was such a lovely surprise. We were immediately shown around the hotel & everything was explained to us which was a really personal touch. The spa was absolutely beautiful and having the pool side bar in there felt like a really nice luxury. The room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, there was so many options! Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Mizumi restaurant was 10/10!!

The food in the cocktail bar wasn’t the best, but everything else was perfect.

Great rural location, just off the coastal hiking trails. The trails and fields provide sweeping ocean views (tho the views are blocked by the tall wind rows when you are inside). The unique old style construction and design add a lot of flavor to the stay. Quiet, surrounded by cows, horses and open fields...with a great pub right near by.

Very lightly equipped with essentials. Nice selection of cookware and dishware. Nearest shops are in Weymouth so pack your own essentials beyond salt & pepper.

Staff was very helpful when we discovered that my husband had left some clothing behind. They held it for our return and brought it up to the room. The shared spaces were really nice, especially the garden.

I loved my stay at Gleddoch, especially my spa treatment. The food from vista was amazing and the whisky bar was a lovely way to end the night! Staff very attentive in all of the areas.

The trees blocking the view from the spa. The noise from the room next door - with that said staff responded very promptly during the night but I felt the walls were letting a lot of noise through/creaky floorboards in general.

The breakfast was a buffet style with plenty of food . Cereal, fruit, and traditional English breakfast. Local Evening entertainment in the bar on Saturday night.

The hotel is an old listed building so there are limitations on what they can modernise. The room was clean and plenty of space too. We had a sea view room but unfortunately there was scaffolding up outside so the view was through the scaffolding. We came to see Whitby though and not sit on a hotel room. So it was not really a bother with the scaffolding as the hotel was opposite the sea/ beach and we sat outside for the sea view.

Very friendly owners who made us feel welcome in their house. Good breakfast with tasty sausages. Wonderful water pressure in the shower.

The location was perfect, and it's a novel experience overnighting on a barge

A little cramped understandably, no place to sit but the bed. Working out how to get the shower going was a puzzle I could have done without :)

The roll out bed was very uncomfortable and in fact our daughter had back pain for days afterwards.
