The room wasn’t properly cleaned. Lamp over bed broken. Bin in toilet was full and a mug with drink in on the bed side table. When we took the mug to the reception the receptionist said she would leave a clean one on the desk for us to pick up later??? After a walk the mug was on the desk, so we took it up. We aren’t staff! The bar area was without windows and crowded with furniture. We took our drinks to our room. Finally, the breakfast. The bacon was boiled, many of the plates were empty, so very little to choose from.

None in the staff were nice and polite. Perhaps they aren’t happy there. We can not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Brilliant location, good sized rooms (very rare for central London), friendly staff, very clean and modern, coffee bar open downstairs all day, a few free drinks and snacks in the room, lovely bathroom. Highly recommend.

The staff were amazing, the coffee shop was great, the room and en-suite were beautiful. The blinds were electric and it just felt so fancy and luxurious. The place was more lovely than I'd expected.

The breakfast ,was a bit warm instead of hot ,but they had everything ,on offer ,a good range of everything ,I think a overhead heater on top of food instead of ,lifting and closing the lid on the metal food pots ,didn't give the food a chance to stay hot ,that's my only fault ,but the hotel is excellent.

The Jacobean Pub is a restaurant not a pub, as such unless you're booked for a meal, you cannot sit at the many tables, however empty they are. We were shown to a "lounge" across the hotel, but there were no tables, just rows of chairs facing an invisible speaker. It's unheard of not being welcome to sit at the hotel bar.
