I stayed here 1-2 nights per week, every week for 7 months. Most days the keys were in a very simple-to-use keybox accessed by a code. Sometimes the owner handed me the keys if he was around but access is very straightforward. In a great location, and very well maintained. Owner very helpful & friendly. Everything always ran like clockwork. Never any issues. I would highly recommend. The property felt very homely. Very well-positioned for city and rural. Always spotlessly clean and literally had absolutely everything I needed for 1-2 nights per week work-related stays, which is why I didnt stay anywhere else for 7 months. I cany say enough good things about this place as well the family who own it. Fantastic.

Lovely little hotel just a short walk from town. The most amazing helpful and friendly staff , couldn’t be faulted what’s so ever. We had issues with our car which had been taken into the garage , meaning we had all of our stuff on us , luckily the staff were kind enough to take our luggage earlier then check in so we didn’t have to lug it all about all day, when we arrived to check in they had very kindly taken all our luggage to our room , which was so lovely. Very dog friendly & our little pooch enjoyed her stay. Lovely Sunday roast and breakfast was really really good value for money overall. Our little room was clean and exactly what we needed for one night stay. We would 1000% come back.

The night before we arrived in London I saw a brand new review that scared me as the title was “WE TURNED AWAY WITHIN MINUTES! So I guess I lowered my standards a lot before arriving at the house the next day. Maybe it helped I don’t know but we actually had a nice stay in the house for 3 nights. We were 5 people and the house is set up for 4 (linen for 4 people NOT 5 - towels for 4 people NOT 5) which is strange to me when they know you are going to be 5 as stated in the booking. But all in all we had a lovely stay, the bedrooms are nice and we slept well on the beds. (if you don't count that 5th person on the sofa :) ) I could stay again for sure if they would fix a few smaller things.

#1 - Late response to messages. I asked if we could drop off our luggage so we could enjoy London without needing to carry the bags with us. It was not possible as the had a late check out from someone else. They told us we could leave our bags in many places but never answered where that was possible. So we carried our bags with us until 14 o’clock when we could check in earlier than said. Which was very nice but came with a price of not so clean house! #2 - The house was not clean enough. I sent a message letting them know the house wasn’t clean and was told the maid did a quick cleaning as we wanted to check in earlier… which I never asked for. I never asked for an early check in only if it was possible to leave our bags somewhere. (they offered a better cleaning but we had spread our bags and stuff all over the place so I declined) #3 - Only linen (covers for the duvet and pollow) for 4 people. I saw a review from someone that they needed to sleep with a sleeping bag which they fortunately had with them, so I sent them a message before we arrived to make sure they understood we were 5 people staying in the house. When we arrived there was a duvet for 5 people but no linen (covers) for the 5th person. So that 5th person slept on the sofa with only sheet and a blanket. Not good at all. #4 - The house! The outside picture on booking.com is of a completely different house. I don't understand why they don’t put pictures of the actual house people are staying in. Very weird and misleading. #5 - The garden is horrible. It would probably take an hour or two to make the garden nicer and maybe a few pounds. Cigarettes and cat piss smell kind of sums up the vibe in the garden. #6 - We entered the house quite tired after the travels and needed to go straight out again to buy toilet paper, which I would think would just be standard to have in the house when people arrive. The walk to the nearest grocery story was about 10-15 minutes. Not a big deal but still annoying.

The location was perfect for an overnight stay as we were visiting the Hall for Cornwall. A short walk into town. Plenty of places to eat nearby. The staff at the hotel were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was perfect. I am coeliac and the hotel were very accommodating and conscientious catering for me. such a relief as unfortunately so many hotels and restaurants have no awareness. So thank you! The bed was extremely comfortable too.

The hotel is a beautiful building, it could do a little updating in the bedrooms though. Our bathroom had some mould around the window. I know this is part and parcel of an old building, especially in Cornwall but it could be wiped off regularly to keep on top of it. This is only minor though and would not put me off staying here again by any means.

The hosts were really helpful from as soon as I made the booking and really quick at replying to messages. The location is stunning and the balcony is perfect for breakfast! It's quite out the way which was lovely but you do need a car. Loads of places for walking and things to visit around the place. Having a pool and hot tub on site was really nice too.

Very friendly. Clean room. Easy access. Breakfast items provided and little fridge with real milk. As I had a very early start, the fact I could pay the previous night and breakfast in my room was great.

The ceiling to the shower was bare plasterboard and needs painting quickly before it gets ruined by damp and steam. The walls were rather thin!

We loved our little cosy, well-equipped barn, especially the amazing views, the safe, dog-friendly enclosed garden, and of course the hot tub! The owners are lovely, helpful and super-friendly.

Good choice at breakfast, room very clean and warm, hosts welcoming, parking spaces. Some places to get food and a shop near by.

Parking spaces for larger vehicles can be very tight and a little tricky. Needed ear plugs due to road noise. Private bathroom was at end of corridor if needed during the night.
