  Very clean, cosy, spacious, light and welcoming. You can tell they’ve not done anything on the cheap creating these rooms. A lot of care and attention has gone into this place. Who wants to stay somewhere that feels like a hotel room when you can stay somewhere like this, and feel like you’re in a very nice home instead? Plush carpet, super comfortable bed, solid, stylish and expensive-looking furniture and bathroom suite. Great blackout blinds on the windows - didn’t need to wear my eye mask which is a big plus. Great communications with the owners, helpful info sent after booking. 5 min drive into Fort William (where there is lots of free parking after 6pm) to find restaurants, pubs etc.

  Not a big issue but wife said there was a slight draught coming under the door that she could feel on her neck in bed. Nothing throwing a towel down couldn’t solve though, but would be worth the owners getting a draught excluder - would definitely be more noticeable in high winds and in winter.

  Had a lovely Sun terrace to have a drink on and a snack.

  I did not like the fact I couldn’t lower the room temperature any lower than 19 degrees, which isn’t probably a problem for most people. Also if you book direct with hotel you don’t have to pay for car parking but book through booking.com you do. Also before our stay we kept receiving messages from the hotel saying name your price for an upgrade which is fine but then they put a minimum amount on name that price.

  It was a bit shabby ( chairs in the breakfast room ) ...the breakfast room was crowded... The shower/ bath were clean but very basic, there could have been some bath products. The single room was very small and quite noisy...the floorboards creaked as people went by...
