Though the checkin is self-completed there were some staff in the shop area (during working hours) to assist with anything if needed. Otherwise the communication before checkin with door codes, etc. was very easy and convenient. The aparto itself was comfortable, clean and quiet. We would recommend this to anyone wanting a nice aparto style accommodation in Porto with nice restaurants close by (for dine-in or takeaway).”

  We had a really lovely stay at The Crown whilst in the area to catch up with son and family who were having a break in Southwold. Our room was extremely comfortable with everything we needed and the complimentary beer was a very nice touch ! All of the staff were helpful and friendly and we certainly hope to return for a longer stay in the future. PS The residents parking is a huge bonus as Southwold can get very busy and finding somewhere to park can be a nightmare.

  We had a wonderful stay at The Crown but a very small niggle was that we had quite a long wait between ordering and receiving our cooked breakfasts. I appreciate it was a Bank Holiday weekend and probably a little short staffed in the kitchen so it wouldn't put us off returning here

  Firstly we were kept very well informed of what we needed to do upon arrival, during our stay and upon leaving the apartment, by the hosts who were always contactable by phone if need be. The apartment was very close to tube station and easy to find and easy to enter. It was a lovely apartment in a nice location and very well equipped. As the weather was not great we appreciated having more room than in a hotel room.

  Excellent central but secluded location. Very nicely turned out. Loved the showers, bedrooms beautiful and kitchen had it all. Great courtyard area which gets the sun from the start of the day, for a cup of coffee in the morning.

  I requested a ground floor room but was given a first floor room and charged £18 for it. I didn't realise this until I arrived at the accommodation. I had a bike in a travel box which was cumbersome (reason why I requested a ground floor room - and explained why at the time).

  Do not give this company your bank details, they fraudulently claimed a case of smoking within the room, which we did not do and complained bitterly about, also of the lack of an actual person checking you out and therefore being able to concoct false claims! My account was debited £150 without warning or authorisation after we had left. We are processing this case to the county court.
