The hotel is in beautiful grounds and is decorated wonderfully throughout. The staff are friendly and professional. From the moment of greeting at Reception to checkout all our interactions with staff were excellent. Food and drink choices were excellent and locally sourced. The level of the food and presentation was a highlight. We stayed in a standard double room with breakfast that in lesser hotels would be marketed as a superior room. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Good central location, comfortable rooms, friendly staff and excellent buffet breakfast. We left a pillow behind and this was sorted out with no problem by the supervisor, thanks!

Excellent all through. Our hostess was in touch with us and welcomed us warmly. The location was just hat we hoped for as we had a funeral to go to in Stockport on the Wednesday.

The worrying thing was a fraud about the payment procedure. We expected our host to charge us £161.04 the day we arrived. She had our card details, but was refused. Then on Wednesday, a fraudster phoned me to fine me £72 on my card for late payment. He was threatening and unpleasant. Wednesday evening our host tried our card again and was refused. I phoned her and gave card details of another account, so all was well. I had phoned Natwest and on Thursday they phoned me having unearthed the fraud, and blocked the £72 threat. so again al was well. I had never before had booking.com arrange payment direct to our host. Do contact me further if you want more detail.

Clean, quiet, safe area, respectful people, very friendly owner. Tesco 15 min walking from the location, Luton airport 10 min with the car. Very comfortable bed sheets 👏🏼

We loved the breakfast, especially the fact that there was gluten free breakfast availability. Also the staff were fab!

The room could have done with a a deeper clean. But overall it was good. It had all that we needed including an ironing board and iron.

The food was inadequate, very expensive for the size of the portions. It was very quiet in the restaurant and it felt like they did the bare minimum in terms of presentation and portions. We spoke to the waiter and manager who said the portions of fish were particularly small because they have to stay within the group hotel policy of 200g per sea bass. I had one fork of actual fish on my piece.
