How does it work?

  • 1

    It starts with a booking

    It starts with a booking

The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.

  • 2

    Followed by a trip

    Followed by a trip

When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

  • And finally, a review

    And finally, a review

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

The staff were wonderful; extremely friendly and very helpful. We booked a sunset river tour through the hotel which was excellent and were dropped off at the night market for food. They also arranged a transfer back to Bangkok too. Would definitely stay here again!”

Breakfast and dinner were both of a very high standard. Parts of the hotel date to the 16th century and our bedroom was quirky but large and well appointed. the bed was very comfortable. The setting requires street parking on rural roads, but this did not present a problem. There are many local country walks.

There is no lift but this didn't present a problem for us.

The room was a good size and the bed was comfortable with clean linens. The warmed towel rack in the bathroom was nice and the bathtub was a good size. We requested a room in a quiet area of the hotel and our expectations were met. It was very quiet.

The room could have been cleaner. There was dust in various places and the furniture was worn out. We expected more from a room that cost more than $350 USD a night. Plus, that rate didn't even include breakfast, which was another $23 USD per person. The breakfast food was good but definitely not worth nearly $50 USD for two people.

The location is great. It’s close to the tube and it has a lot of restaurants and convenience stores close by.

First of all the description is misleading. It says private entrance but it’s actually located in a share house with individual locks. In addition to that, Room 3 (where we stayed) is located in the common area where the kitchen (and the smelly bins) and laundry room are right outside of our door. We stayed there for two weeks, half of the time there were people using the washing machine at 3am and microwave at 2am. We told the owner but he said he can’t restrict what people do. It’s unfair to charge room 3 for the same price as other rooms when room 1 and upstairs rooms don’t have any common area attached to. Moreover, there were renovations around the accommodation 7 days a week from 9am. We could still hear it even with the door shut, and doesn’t look like it’ll finish soon considering the skip bin is still outside of the house. Lastly, it’s almost impossible to ask the owner for anything. We stayed for two weeks and we were only provided with two toilet rolls. We asked the owner for more but he never replied, luckily we ran into the cleaning lady and she gave us some. I needed to have bank card posted to the accommodation so I can get paid, the owner said he’s happy to help but he never gave me the card when the bank said the letter should’ve arrived in the first week. On the day we left, I asked the owner to check again. He first said he’ll go there around 10am and check, I then called him around lunchtime and he said he was 15 minutes away. After three hours of silence, I called him again and he said there’s none. I would appreciate if he could tell me right away so I didn’t have to wait around, and I could’ve went to the bank to ask for a new card when they were still open.

The room was horrible. It's nothing like in the pictures, there was BLACK mold in massive splodges all over the bathroom ceiling it was also showing up on the bottom of the door, the bathroom in general looked like it hasn't been cleaned in a very long time. The beds were uncomfortable to sleep on; you could feel every spring inside of the matress. When you are even trying to fall asleep, you can't because you can hear the train/metro outside which is very loud and difficult to fall asleep to. The walls were also written on and had stains of something. The white socks that we were wearing basically turned black from the dirt on the floor. I do not recommend, even if you aren't a germaphobe, the mold can probably make you ill if you breathe in too much of it.
