The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.

When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

Fabulous quiet location close to Petworth park. Amazing public footpaths with walks through vineyards, farmlands, and country mansions. A number of lovely villages, farm shops, and really good pubs nearby. The stable conversion is tastefully done with good quality linen and towels, and everything you need in the kitchen if you are cooking. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

The mattress was a bit soft but that is a personal thing.

Traditional food and service. Spotless fresh linen with elegant matching crockery and cutlery. Breakfast freshly cooked. Dinner very traditional and not exactly gourmet standard but very reasonably priced. The room was in the "new" wing of the hotel. Very large, quiet, comfortable and very well furnished. The hotel is family run and they really care !

Don't be put off by the other negative comments about the unfinished extension work. It does not really affect your stay in the hotel. We did not see or hear any workmen during our stay My only little grumble is the poor bedside reading light. But hey - show me a hotel that has good lighting !!

Perfect spot for starting your walk on SW coast path. Good pub food, quite busy so I recommend booking a table in advance. Room was ok for a one night stay.

Unfortunately the shower in our room didn't work. We were informed at the end of our stay that we should have pulled the cord in the corner of the bathroom, but it wasn't obvious...

Very handy for city break, once all the entry codes were mastered! Good value, and facilities, don't mind shared bathroom.

If I had not had a mobile phone, my husband does not have one, or had not checked my messages the day before, we would have been stranded, unable to get in. Please do not assume everyone has one, or has access to the internet. No advice was provided as how to access the TV, especially for anyone without a mobile phone, or much tec knowledge of apps, etc. Had to ask another guest in the flat, then only able to get one channel.

It's fine. It's a hostel. No major issues. Good value for money given it's London.

It's a hostel. If you can't hack staying in one then this one won't change your mind!

SAd to say didn’t like the location to far to walk ever day if you don’t mind driving fine but we like to park car and walk and not a nice view out my window of a run down empty building

The traditional pub in a picturesque village. Good location.

Not sure it serves the same standard of meals and same choice. Room not serviced.

The facilities are nice, the location is amazing

Some of the staff have the attitude of prison guards towards the guests. After being snapped at a couple of times I complained about a pale girl with bad teeth to the supervisor and in turn got banned from the hostel with a made up accusation :) So people please accept everything they say and do and do not take the signs seriously saying ‘Please speak to us directly about any concerns we want your 100% review’ otherwise you get backstabbed
