Lovely Guest House in the idyllic Cairngorms. We were welcomed with homemade chocolate cake upon arrival. The hosts were very helpful and offered a ton of information about hiking trails, local wildlife etc. They are obviously very passionate about their beautiful region and it is the place to stay if you love the outdoors. The room was very cosy with a big comfortable bed. Very delicious breakfast with a lot of options. The only downside was that we didn’t stay longer. I would love to come back!

The lodge is beautiful as is the location. Lodge had everything you could possibly need. Plenty of cooking utensils, cleaning products, Hoover, Iron and ironing board, Wi-Fi and smart tv books dvds and so much more didnt want for anything. There was garden furniture for four people with a table. Every angle covered. The Host was one of the most helpful hosts we have stayed with and we will DEFINITELY be staying again soon. Hats off to a great Host and a beautiful Lodge.

Very clean comfy rooms, shampoo & shower gel etc provided. Great bathroom and shower. Lovely little suntrap garden. Lots of communal seating areas and all staff were very friendly and keen to help. Good choice of dinner options including some gluten and dairy free ones so highly rate on that score! The head waiter was excellent at making sure everything was ok and putting it right if not.

A few of the newer serving staff need to be trained up more - just small things like only taking away plates when both have finished, not carrying clean drink glasses for your table with your hands over the top. But otherwise they were very helpful and friendly and will be excellent once trained. Would be even better if menu provided vegan/dairy free yoghurt for breakfast & a desert option planned.

Location was great, the bar and restaurant were lovely. Really good atmosphere and had a delicious meal. Staff were friendly in the hotel.

Room was run down, carpet fraying or completely bald in areas, bathroom a bit smelly and needed a paint job. Wasn't worth the money in that respect but was the cheapest in Clifton so got what we expected. Wasn't dreadful but not amazing.

Breakfast was one of the worst I have ever experienced. Very few choices. Distant from underground. Although I requested to change the room upon arrival as room was not appropriate to stay with my daughter , reception said they would help next day and never came back. One of worst stays I ever had compared to value for my money.
