  Initially there seemed a few teething problems using booking. Com web site, but the owner contacted me and was very supportive and eager to provide exactly what we were looking for. He made himself easily available once we were there and interested in our feedback as we were the first ones to rent from him and he was very keen to get it right. The cottage was fresh, clean and had everything we needed to make it feel like a home from home. The decor had been well thought out and had real personal beautiful touches. A lot of the items were brand new and plenty of further linens and cleaning products were easily accessible . The location is amazing, a couple of minutes from a lovely boyant high street with a selection of pubs and eateries. The best of all for us ( being keen walkers) was the fact we could walk in about twenty minutes to the famous Major Oak, Sherwood Forest.

  Mill Lane and the road side parking can be abit hazardous due to the volume of traffic and narrowness of the road. However, once we found a space and the car was unloaded we didn't need to use it again.

  Really impressed with the bedroom furnishings and attention to detail- nice touches like the tray with biscuits etc

  "Check in" is basically stand at the bar until the only bar person has finished serving rounds of drinks. Maybe could make another room or area the check in . Everyone very polite & pleasant. Surprised for the price that breakfast not included.

  We loved everything about this accommodation. It was perfectly situated for us and very peaceful.

  We are both fit older people and managed the spiral staircase well. However I do think it should be mentioned in the blurb about the Studio House that if one is not physically able, it would not be suitable. Also I should mention that there was a leak from the shower down onto the sofa when the shower was being used.
