A warm welcome awaits you at the Redgarth. The owner, Mr Stuart, goes that extra mile to make you feel at home. No complaints about the room. It was big and well appointed. We had a beautiful view over the Bennachie hills. The Redgarth is also a pub frequented by the locals and the food is very good and most ingredients are locally sourced. The fish and chips they serve was excellent. Breakfast is continental style with fresh fruit, yoghurt, ham, cheese and bread and some pastries. Special mention for the very helpful staff.

Nothing of note but I would have liked a fried or scrambled egg at breakfast and would have been prepared to pay a supplement for these items.

Good location close to British Museum. Offered a vegetarian breakfast which was good for me. The staff were helpful.

When we arrived at the hotel to check in, the receptionist said they would show us to our room. Well we didn't expect to have to go back out the front door, walk up the street, and to then enter another un-named property. We were then shown to a basement room which had two windows, but they had frosted glass in the bottom half and blinds to cover the top half otherwise people outside could look straight down into your room. The room was comfortable enough but the property was a little run down with worn carpets. The wifi was very hit and miss which made it harder to plan our trips. The breakfast was good but the service was very slow if it was busy. Of course the breakfast was served in the basement of the hotel itself, which meant you had to get dressed and put your shoes and coat on to walk down the street, no popping down to breakfast in your slippers! Certainly expected better for the price we paid, even in London.

For some of unknown reasons the lights came on during the night and it proved impossible to have them stay off for longer the 2 minutes. I slept with the lights on for most of the night. I only noticed that the sheet was torn. When I mentioned this to the staff I got a very standard answer without any sincerity to their statement.
