The location is second-to-none, next to priory. I had finished the St Cuthbert's Way, walking alone, and knew it was a small room and had a separate bathroom when I booked it. The view from the room was amazing - right across to the castle and out over the sea. The best thing of all was the bathroom - it had a bath! It was the first hotel I'd stayed in on the route that did and it was wonderful to soak after 71 miles hiking. I liked the restaurant & bar and the place was warm and quiet, and the staff really friendly. Breakfast was great.

The room was pretty small and cramped, but I knew that before booking and it wasn't a big deal for me. But the only real negative was that I couldn't air the bathroom - the windows don't open.

The location is unbeatable, a short walk from everything in Oxford city center. The unique selling point of Malmaison Oxford is that it used to be a prison, and the names of the buildings reflects as such. Absolutely a unique stay. Staff were really friendly, bed was really comfortable, bathroom large. Despite the location, rooms are soundproof and you cant hear any traffic noise

Cleanliness could be a tad better, there were cobwebs in the bathroom, which was highlighted to staff. The price could def be cheaper, as there are no spa facilities and the high price does not include breakfast

All the staff were so friendly and helpful, the location was great, close enough to the city to walk but also in a quiet area. Everything was very reasonably priced and the bar stays open until 2am on Fridays and Saturdays which was great because we’d got back really late and fancied a drink. The room was comfortable and clean.

Lovely hosts! Perfect spot if you want to stay central away from the crowds. Good choices of cuisines for restaurants/cafes or grocery shops if you want to cook and stay in. Walking distance from Regents Park / Primrose Hill area.

The bedroom was beautiful and very clean, the stay service was excellent and the staff very friendly. Also the toaster almost went in my suitcase what a brilliant piece of machinery 😂

The breakfast was a bit off, the bacon especially was an issue as it was very very fatty which was a shame as the bit I found with no fat was delicious

I know it is supposed to be summer time, however I think the bed linen, blanket were a bit thin to my liking considering the crap weather in UK these days.

perhaps a bigger bathroom, it was hard to use the toilet being so close to the bath and wall, the television was high up and could only be viewed from 1 position. only 1 bedside light and table
