      The bed was comfy and the room was lovely. The cooked breakfast was buffet style where the food was really tasty and good quality. We had an early start one of the mornings and thankfully we were able to arrange to get breakfast at 7am so we could still start the day with some food to set us up for the day. The setting of the B&B in the grounds of Coombe lodge were also stunning.

      The only thing I would have liked was a decaf or herbal tea option in my room for a cuppa before going to bed. There was hot chocolate but I don't like that having that before bed. I will admit I'm not the best sleeper and was awake both mornings early ~4.30am by the light coming in from the side of the blinds. If this could be reduced that would have helped me but I guess others could suggest that I wear an eyemask.

      The property has a parking space right outside the house which is essential in the Lake District. Being a ground floor flat it’s easily accessible and only a couple of minutes walk into Ambleside. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and I would 100% recommend as. The host is great and easy to contact.

      Beautiful room, gorgeous finishing touches and a wonderful stay! Smooth check in process, had no issues at all! The details were fantastic, I've listed a few small comments as feedback but overall it was a great stay and I'd recommend it time and time again.

      The room is small but we only stayed 1 night so it was fine. I also had read a few comments about being able to hear people on the hallway and I'd agree but in a hotel you would expect it. We were also on the ground floor with bins outside the room so when they were getting emptied before 6am, it woke us up.
