On my arrival I was greeted by the owner who gave me a map of the area & lots of useful information. Everything I could need, & more, was provided in the apartment. Milk, bottled water, biscuits, towels, bedding, electric blanket, teatowel, salt, pepper, cling film, tin foil & even 6 fresh eggs from the owner's chickens. Great parking facilities. Bus stop into town near by. Lovely garden to relax in. Spotlessly clean.

Our room was a good size and really clean. The shower was lovely and the bed was comfortable too. The breakfast each morning was cooked freshly for us and absolutely delicious. Our hosts George and Lynne were kind, funny and had lots of recommendations of things to do and see in the local area. The guesthouse is a short walk into town so good location too, and it was brilliant to have parking available on site.

very clean! Even the shared bathroom was spotless. great selection at breakfast. You can book your own slot for the hot tub which I really liked. Self check in at own convenience. Helpful staff! Would definitely stay again.

Paid £549.45 for four nights in a Deluxe Kingsize, so was expecting a nice experience Door handles, take the skin of your knuckles when turning as they are so close to the door frames. Rooms very hot even with the heating OFF. Road noise is a lot even at night, so sleeping with the window open was difficult. The bed was horrendous. Barely slept a wink for 4 nights, and I couldn't wait to come home. And no I'm sorry I don't believe anyone finds a mattress that you can feel the springs through is comfortable for any sleeper. High quality mattresses are what they are, and this is nothing like! Have complained to the hotel, but as advised, I'm still writing a review that reflects our experience.

The property is very dated and often times the rooms are visibly dirty which was the case on this occasion. In addition to this when we were leaving the maids were coming round and all of the clean linens were left on the floor outside each room which is very unhygienic. In addition when checking in we were charged an early check in fee which given the fact the room was available and nobody was being put out I felt was particularly unacceptable. To add to this we had family staying at the hotel over the same period and in the past who’ve checked in early and at no point ever had to pay an early check in fee. I asked how much this was and was told £20, only to fill in the forms and be told by the receptionist she’d do it for £10?? So clearly she’s very capable of waving it and this is instead a fee that you pick and choose when to apply and how much it’s going to be. Convenient location but won’t be back.
