- “Baan Thai House is a really beautiful hotel set in really lovely grounds. We booked 2 rooms which were both absolutely lovely and one of the rooms had the bonus of an outdoor shower. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. We really loved the pool area which was well maintained with plenty of sun beds and a beautiful setting by the river. The staff were wonderful; extremely friendly and very helpful. We booked a sunset river tour through the hotel which was excellent and were dropped off at the night market for food. They also arranged a transfer back to Bangkok too. The hotel is a short tuk tuk or taxi ride to the main sights and we liked the fact it was tucked away in a lovely quiet area surrounded by well maintained gardens and a lovely lake. Would definitely stay here again!”

  Front of hotel very nice, clean and inviting. Room was standard, but clean. Lady that checked us in during the day was very nice and friendly. Stayed here a few years ago and the hotel was pretty run down. It has had a big change within its appearance as the entrance area, dinning etc have all been revamped. The room had new carpet laid so a nice fresh feeling to it.

  Rooms could do with having bedding replaced. As I leave hotels I always strip the bedding and place in a pile on the floor to help the cleaners. The pillows had alot of staining on them and all where different types. And the duvet was barely holding itself together. Basic fix for the hotel to achieve and would make a huge difference. Man during the night wasn't as good. Was left stranded outside the hotel banging on the windows to get in. I understand the doors have to be locked and it's can be a difficult job to work nights, but he eventually came from the restaurant area looking tired, and went back into there when letting us in. Again an easy fix if some sort of door bell, intercom, fob was fitted so the hotel can be alerted that someone is at the door.

  I liked that they had a staff member checking who was entering/what room you were in when we got back late at night. Made me feel much safer. It was a nice, clean room too.

  Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. We couldn't believe the terribly sweet pancakes and fillings others chose, they will get diabetes. Felt people wasted food.
