Just off the seafront and a few minutes walk to the railway and bus station. The steam train station was also located alongside the main station. Fairly typical seaside boarding house without the traditional dragon landlady of old. Very short level walk to the seafront with it's multiple attractions. Located in a quiet side street the rooms were very clean and equipped with anything you may need. Highlight was the excellent breakfast provided included in the room cost. Lots of choice and cooked fresh. Wonderful area to visit with numerous town and villages to visit. Buses only cost £2 a journey throughout the Torbay area. Recommend the bus to Kingswear, the ferry across to Dartmouth (£2.00) and a smaller boat to the fort at the estuary mouth (£3.00). Back to Kingswear and bus to Brixham followed by ferry across to Torquay (£6.00). From there train or bus back to Paignton. Wonderful day out to explore the towns mentioned as well as short cruises and ferries.

I loved how when I walked in to the room, it was spacious, clean and tidy. I thought it was more than a 3 star. The bathroom was clean and spacious too. The view was good from the loft and the shower was powerful (always good to have). There was a TV, Wifi (which didn't connect easily for me), good lighting, tea/coffee, armchair and table. Location was ideal as it wasn't far from the water front. Parking outside on the streets with 'W' were free between 7pm and 9am the following day. Didn't need the permit I purchased in the end as was out during the controlled parking time.

The bed was abit too bouncy and wobbly. The shower wouldn't get very hot (but was warm). I could hear the people downstairs at 3am talking normally but was coming through quite loud. The seagulls also started screeching around the same time - keep you windows closed if you don't want to hear this!

A fantastic, peaceful and private setting. Very well appointed and comfortable space. Great comms form the host and those thoughtful little touch to make things special. If you want somewhere quiet to getting away from it all, contemplate or walk, a brilliant place.

What a beautiful old building, perfectly located for all the towns amenities too. Nice and warm, comfortable bedding, quality towels and the best shower ever. A great place to stay.

Stairs treads are a bit small for my size 13 feet 😀 Street (very quiet) parking not ideal, but we managed to get our two motorcycles into the back garden.

The room itself and the facilities were good, clean and comfortable. The accommodation staff have already identified that it can get loud outside and provide free ear plugs.

The entrance to the accommodation was awful. Before being greeted, I actually said to my friend we could not stay here! Graffiti all over the door, some very suspicious looking stains on the door. As you walk in the hallway is concreted, dull and dirty didn't feel me with confidence at all BUT the room was really good (not £280 worth but nice)
