How does it work?

  • 1

    It starts with a booking

    It starts with a booking

The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.

  • 2

    Followed by a trip

    Followed by a trip

When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

  • And finally, a review

    And finally, a review

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

I liked that it was very near to Leicester railway station. O2 Leicester is 1 mile away walking distance or a quick uber ride. Firebug is about the same distance away, but in a different direction and The Metal Monocle pub, is somewhere in the middle. Room no.3 was big enough for two people with a huge en-suite bathroom with basic amenities; wc, shower and hand basin in. It was in an ideal location for me.

      - Don't think for one moment that the property looks anything like the picture, because it doesn't at all. - I had a bit of a nightmare getting into the place. - The instructions themselves baffled me to start with; entry code to the front door - was fine. But saying "enter the other code in the keysafe on the wall opposite the door, to get my front door key" didn't quite work, as there is a broken keysafe next to the front door of the building - having never encountered a place quite like this before, I didn't' realise that there was another keysafe next to my room door, to obtain my room key. Once I'd sorted that out, it was ok, but the other residents were of no help whatsoever and communication between 'the host' and myself, was hard work. - The 11am unexpected loud banging on the door, the first morning I was there, got me out of bed in a hurry; to be greeted by a lady demanding to know why I hadn't vacated the property yet, and after telling her I was here for another two nights, she went away to check if that was true or not. - the kettle positioned underneath the wall mounted TV was a big NO from me. I moved it from this position when I used it, hot steam from a boiling kettle could easily enter the TV via the vents at the bottom & on the rear of the TV and I didn't like the idea of being electrocuted by either. The room has a kettle with two cups, 3 instant coffee sachets, three tea bags & only 2 small cartons of uht milk, 1 tea-spoon. and no sugar or sweetener available. The room doesn't come with any food option and didn't have a fridge (for storing extra milk) or microwave for heating any meals that I might want rather than eating out all the time. and I'm not sure the desk was an actual desk or part of something else that had had legs attached to it.

Good hotel, cozy and quiet room during the night. The washroom was clean. Good position. Very comfortable bed and room. Acceptable breakfast. Very quick check in. Good position at a 12-minutes walk to the train station.

The washbasin in the bathroom needed to be unclog. The breakfast is acceptable but not great. In the breakfast room they had a floor very sticky close to one of the buffet tables. This is the less exciting hotel among the all Leonardo Hotels in which I have been. No bottles of water available in the room. Very noisy cleaning ladies in the morning starting from very early.

My only grumble would be there wasn’t a plug socket next to a mirror to plug in hairdryer and straighteners

Staff & cleanliness were great. Mattress was lovely. We had dinner in the restaurant which was also lovely n freshly cooked

Room was very basic. Especially for £153 for 1 night. No iron in room, tho it was probably available on request. Room was also a bit dated with woodchip walls. Would suggest sockets at bedside for phone charging & something more hygienic than a shower curtain

Duvet cover very poor quality. Bobbled and itchy. Had to take bottom sheet off the bed and sleep under that as the duvet cover made of poly cotton. Either throw these away or get them de-bobbled and buy quality bedding. Had very bad nights sleep due to this.
