On site safe parking very friendly, welcoming hosts who showed us around and were easily available for any help needed clean, well-equipped kitchen with good lighting and bonus milk, coffee, tea and wine left for us! good beds and crisp cotton bedding a bath separate to the shower practical extras often not seen in rental properties such as hooks on doors, bathroom cabinet and wastepaper bins perfect location for us near to places to visit and with an excellent local pub lovely balcony although unfortunately it was a bit chilly for us to use it on this visit.

Everything had been thought of so little to comment - Some additional cushions on the sofas would be helpful for backs that need a bit more support!

The apartment is very spacious and located only 5 minutes from the train station, and within walking distance from the city centre. The bed was comfortable, and overall, everything was quite clean.

The main problem for us was a strong smell of cigarette in the living room. After opening the windows, it got a bit better, but every time we were leaving the apartment for the day, with the windows closed, the smell was coming back. This was quite annoying also because we did our laundry and had to let our things dry in the living room, and so they ended up smelling of cigarette as well. Luckily, the bedroom was ok and we could have a comfortable sleep, but something should be done to solve this major problem.

The building entrance and rooms both had a modern look and staff very helpful. The dining experience was excellent with plenty of menu choice and supported with excellent staff.

Location - however Botley Road is currently closed for roadworks so no buses to the town centre and taxi costs £15-20. Walk to the station only 15 minutes.

Poor security - I went to drop off our bags before check in as agreed with the host - the front door to the property and our room was wide open with no staff throughout the ground floor. I just walked straight in without using any key/code. Dirty - a lot of hair in and on the toilet and bathroom floor, half drunk bottle of wine left on the table, plastic wrapper in the sheets, brown stains on the carpet. Poor communication - called the hosts multiple times with no answer.

The noisy air conditioning unit kept me awake all night. I really liked this hotel, but this left me horribly sleep deprived. After turning it off over and over again throughout the night, the staff told me that it’s programmed to turn back on automatically and there’s nothing you can do about the noise. I couldn’t stay here again.
