Her recommendation really made a difference to our trip...we would have tried to lug our large suitcases from Nikko to Tokyo (thinking that it was only a train ride away) if not for her advice to pre-send them to our Tokyo hotel.   Such a beautiful property with fabulous spacious rooms, it made us feel rather special ourselves just by staying there. The owners are lovely and super friendly, offering us a cup of tea on arrival which was really welcome, even though we actually got there ahead of the agreed check in time. The breakfast was really tasty with quality ingredients and the bed was very comfortable so we slept very well. The location of the house was perfect for us as it's a short walk to the town centre yet is set in its own spacious grounds and up and away from any noise, and even has sea views from the rooms.

  Great location near the Thames river and Millenium bridge, 5 min walk to the underground Mansion House station (Circle, District lines) and grocery store. Clean, comfortable and quiet apartment. Fully equipped kitchen. Good wifi connection.

  Not much to improve, missing modern smart TV to connect phone or watch streaming services would, bathroom shower head should be replease as it spills water on sides.

  Room was very spacious with a great sea view. Everything was clean and tidy, nice friendly staff. Free parking on the roadside out the front.

  It’s a little way outside of the main town, probably 20 minutes walk. Which we were aware of, and the walk if lovely, IF the weather is nice. NO tea/coffee making facilities in the room.

  The food was over priced, arrival ie first impression was very poor. Couldn't find the car park so has to phone hotel. Receptionist was in a can't be bothered off hand attitude. She told us the car park was left , left and left but didn't know name of the roads. When we got to car park had to call reception again and receptionist said ( in a grumpy tone) " well I have to put the barrier up" she did this and then hung up. We got in a space ( which was very tight as carpark very small. Then there was no way to get out of the carpark on foot and only a silver door with a keypad on and no intercom. We saw the laundry door open and the staff in there were great. He got us through the keypad door and showed us to the lift to reception. Reception is not easily found unless you notice the very small signs with arrows which again took some finding.. By the time we got to reception we has already decided not to stay there again.
