I loved the location, It is just a 10 minute walk from the Manchester Piccadilly train station and it’s perfect if you’re travelling here by train. I travelled for a concert at the Co Op live arena and It was so closeby that it is easily walkable from this hotel. Staff were so friendly and attentive and the food here was delicious and the room was huge, the bathroom facilities were great too. Modern sleek and stylish rooms and the hotel felt safe, which is a good thing to consider if you are going to concerts in manchester which may finish late at night and may require you to walk back to the hotel.

Great location, right in the middle of town. Becky, who seemed to be running the place was brilliant, and couldn’t have been more helpful, recommending places near the hotel. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with coffee and tea facilities, and sweets (a nice touch). The breakfast selection was great too, with options for all tastes. We ate at the hotel on the Saturday night, and again the food was superb. (I can highly recommend the ribeye steak)

The games room in the basement was a tad cold, but that’s all

The welcome that we had from Jackie was so warm and wonderful; we both felt like extended family members even for our brief stay. Jackie had a cuppa and homemade mince pies with us on arrival and made a fab cooked breakfast in the morning. The house is characterful and very comfortable. The location was excellent for us to visit Dylan Thomas places the next day. We loved our stay!! It was a home from home.

The hotel was in a great location for me. The room was pleasant and the bed was roomy and very comfortable. I very much appreciated being given a choice of firmer and softer pillows. Good choice of food for beakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking space.

The shower was disappointing: Over the bath and with a mediocre flow. A couple of little biscuits with the tea/coffee making facilities would have been nice. Slightly disappointed to have to pay for overnight parking as a guest in the hotel, although the £5 charge was relatively low.

Staff were very friendly & helpful. Great location with pubs & restaurants in walking distance. Generous cooked breakfast. Nice real ale pub downstairs.

Only had limited parking facilities, but it's an old pub in the middle of a village, so room will always be limited.

Went to the Coop Arena but couldn’t find transport back to the hotel, asked in shops, asked two police officers as well as staff in the Piccadilly railway station but not one person knew where the hotel was, which completely stressed us out. Breakfast was a nightmare! We were asked to wait along with another couple while the young girl supposedly sorting this out just let other people wander in and grab a table. By the time we got in there was hardly any food left, I managed to have the last rasher of bacon, there were no eggs and some baked beans. We were not the last people to have breakfast but nothing was replenished.

Extremely noisy if you are in the room facing the Royal Mile. The noise goes on all night so if you are a light sleeper then this is definitely not for you.
