The breakfast was first class and set us up for the day. It provided a full compliment of cereals, etc., and this was followed by a number of options for a cooked breakfast. Very good indeed. The rooms were well proportioned and provided everything required for a comfortable stay. Attention to detail both in the room and the communal areas (plus the garden) were excellent. The staff were attentive, friendly and efficient. Location was not too far from other areas worth visiting but some of the roads were very narrow if you ventured off the main highways.

1. No milk in the fridge for drink 2. Toilet in entry level has skid marks in, and no loo roll 3. Unable to provide a VAT receipt. Sort those, and I would use this every week.

40 stairs to the room. I have a heart problem and would have been grateful of this information so I could have made a decision not to stay there. Once I reached the room I couldn’t leave it because I knew I would not be able to get back up. We had no dinner that night and although we were booked in for 3 nights we only stayed 1. I did ring someone to ask for other accommodation but was told there was none. It spoiled our time in Plymouth and left us financially out of pocket because we had no pay for other accommodation.

The place is full of safety issues, trips and falls and potential hazards. The whole house stinks and is unkept. I would rather sleep in my car.

Lack of car parking. Rooms were dated , shower had mould on the ceiling and in the shower tray. Hair was in the sink and taps were stiff and water only trickled out when turned on. Hotel is on a busy part of Newquay’s bars and clubs so very noisey into the early hours. Hotel was in general state of disrepair, with cracks in the walls in the main dining room. Do not stay here , as looks attractive for the price compared to others , but there is a reason it’s cheap , it really bad .
